On September 19, 2025, we became aware that our system recently failed to collect required drinking water samples. Although this incident was not an emergency, you have the right to know what happened and what we are doing to correct it.
We are required to monitor your drinking water for specific contaminants on a regular basis. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not our drinking water meets health standards. During April 2025 and July 2025, we did not complete testing for LT2 – Cryptosporidium, E. coli, and Turbidity and therefore cannot be sure of the quality of our drinking water during that time.
What should I do?
There is nothing you need to do at this time. You do not need to boil your water or take any other corrective actions. You may continue to drink the water. If the situation arises where the water is no longer safe to drink, you will be notified within 24 hours. Any emergencies will also be announced on local media and social media.
What is being done?
While we did complete LT2 testing during the months in question, the samples were not collected at the correct time of the month. We are working with a new outside lab for this testing and are reviewing our sampling schedules to ensure samples are collected during the correct sampling window each month.
