Summer Operations Position

Job Summary

The Summer Operations positions will be responsible for a variety of tasks that will assist the operations department. They will assist distribution by replacing and maintaining equipment, maintain grounds of property owned by the Cooperative, and assist with construction projects when needed. These positions are general help to contribute during our peak season and will only last a few months.

Job Duties & Expectations (included but not limited to ):

Installing meter endpoints
• Exercising valves
• Painting Hydrants
• Mowing established lawns on property owned by the Cooperative.
• Care for established landscape around office and Water Treatment Plants by trimming, weeding and spraying.
• Assist construction crews when necessary
• Help with various customer service work

Location

Dieterich, IL and Montgomery County IL

Schedule

Monday - Friday 7 am - 3pm

Pay

$18-21 per hour

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Be 18 Years of age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to operate small equipment including lawn mowers, weed eater, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers
• Able to work outside in the hot summer temperatures
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Good stamina and physical health
• Self starter who is able to follow direction
• V Washing trucks and equipment when needed
• Keeping the Operations building floors clean
