EJ Water-MCWC (Montgomery County Water) Service Area was recently issued a violation notice that stems from a water quality issue from the Litchfield water system. It is important to note that there is no threat to health with this particular issue, however we are still taking precautions to ensure the highest quality possible. MCWC sources its water from Litchfield and from Nokomis. When we learned of the violation, the Litchfield connection was turned off and all water was sourced from Nokomis. There are some emergency and necessary times that some water from Litchfield will be used, but it will only be for the minimal amount possible until this quality issue returns to compliance.
