EJ Water Cooperative is committed to regularly monitoring the quality of your drinking water to ensure it continues to meet all state and federal standards. During a routine review, we identified that a small number of required water quality samples for the second quarter of 2026 were not collected within the required monitoring period due to a laboratory test kit being mishandled.
There is no action required by customers, and there is no indication of any risk to public health. Follow-up sampling has been completed (or is scheduled), and we have provided additional staff training on the proper handling and storage of laboratory sampling kits to help prevent this from occurring again.
